Leadership Team

The Executive Management Team is headed by Sloan and Jeff Root, the Vice President of Merry X-Ray—both being with MXR for more than 25 years. The team has grown over the past 18 months, further strengthening the overarching hierarchy of MXR. John Schaefer, Chief Operating Officer, was added to bring the operations of MXR, Consensys, Nationwide, and other acquired companies together, to run as one unified operation. Bernard Amato, Chief Financial Officer, was moved from the CFO position of Nationwide to CFO for all of MXR to further unify the financial side of the business. Shelby Lemler, Corporate Director of Service, was added to unify all of the MXR field engineers and technical support teams into one cohesive service team.

Expansion Through Acquisition

Through the acquisitions of Consensys Imaging Service and Nationwide Imaging Services the company was able to gain both expanded capabilities and equipment, as well as technical expertise in the fields of computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance (MR), mammography and ultrasound. In reference to the Consensys acquisition “Service is a key component to the MXR model, and this acquisition has enabled us to enhance the value we can offer in terms of preventative maintenance, repairs, consulting, and more,” says Sloan.

These acquisitions have strengthened the company’s national presence across the U.S. “Typical medical equipment dealers are confined to their local geography, which often limit their ability to work with a large integrated delivery network (IDN).

Our national coverage enables us to cover the needs of entire IDNs, which has helped create many in-roads for the company,” says Sloan.

The company’s product portfolio has expanded to include MR, CT, Ultrasound and Mammography equipment sales with both new and reconditioned options. High quality reconditioned equipment allows the company to meet the financial as well as efficiency needs of its diverse customers.

Service for All Imaging

The company’s qualified engineers are factory trained in analog and digital X-ray equipment, CR, PACS, traditional roller transport chemical film processors, multi-loaders, laser imagers, among others. This way, MXR supports major medical equipment manufacturers such as AFP/Dent-x, Agfa, ALLPRO Imaging, Aspyra, Aycan, Barco, Carestream/Kodak, Codonics, and Del Medical.

Today, the company employs over 60 sales representatives and nearly 300 Field Engineers in various locations throughout the country. MXR also boasts a large support staff including dedicated customer service groups that take pride in the work they do.

As the technology advances, MXR is working to make sure the customers stay current on the technology landscape. “There are a number of reimbursements available for providers related to the equipment they are operating,” remarks Sloan. To that end, the company is making an effort to be at the forefront, enabling customers to get reimbursed at the highest rates available by bringing them to the leading edge of existing technology.
